Social networks are not the best solution for sharing private photos with specific people. Incorrect privacy settings may lead to everyone seeing your pictures, including stalkers. Kooboodle offers a safe way to share photos. It allows you to manage and back up your photo libraries, but its main feature is the possibility of exchanging pictures with specific people in private.

Kooboodle is offered free of charge, but it comes in a paid version as well, which includes more features. Downloading and installing the software is not a challenging task and it can be used on all popular Windows platforms. It doesn't use too many resources and it does not ask for any special tools.

The user interface is divided into several sections, in which you can browse through your pictures, in chronological order, view shared images, find and invite friends, trade pictures and more. You can access these sections instantly, via navigation tabs, located on the left side of the interface. Photos are sorted automatically in different folders, based on their creation dates and you can browse through them like on a standard explorer window.

Sharing one or more photos does not involve anything more than selecting them, clicking a button and typing or selecting a contact's name. Shared and received photos can be found in their own section of the interface. They are displayed as large thumbnails, in chronological order, along with various details, like the sharing date or the receiver. You can also find options for trading more photos and for sending a reminder to the receiver.

Besides sharing them, photos can be backed up on the Cloud. You can back up one or more images manually, or you can just toggle an auto-backup function and let the software upload your images automatically, on a regular basis.
